Patriach of Kapoor family, Prithviraj acted in India's first film talkie, Alam Ara (1931). Established Prithvi Theater, and travelled all around India for 16 yrs, appearing as a lead in 2662 shows before moving back to Bollywood in 60s, often portraying royal characters.

1929 - 1972

Two of his kids died tragically in a span of one week. He and his wife both died within a fortnight of each other in 1972.
