Dharmraj is a happy man with his two children and three brother. He decides to get his two brothers Kesar and Kausturi married. Dharmraj's friend, Arjun Singh comes for this wedding with his wife and their daughter Devyani. Dharmraj's yougest brother Prashant and Devyani fall in love with each other. The two friends decide to bless the young ones and thus make their friendship even deeper. They perform the Tilak ceremony for Prashant with great pomp. But on the next day Prashant gets to know that he has lung cancer! Both the families are drawned in sorrow. Dharmaraj tells Arjun to get his daughter married to someone else but Devyani lies that she is carrying Prashant's child and this force Prashant to marry her. Soon after marraige , Devyani becomes a mother. One the one hand there are songs of happiness and on the other hand there are grey clouds because now Prashant has only a few more months left. Soon, Prashant hears of a medicine for cancer in America.
