Najma

The story revolves around Dr.Yusuf(Ashok Kumar) who is in love with Najma(Veena) daughter of a rich Nawab in Lucknow circa early 20th century.Due to the difference in the monetory and social status of both lovers,they can not marry each other and they get married to other partners in due course of time.This does not diminish their love.It is not acceptable to Mukarram(Kumar) husband of Najma and he goes to murder Dr.Yusuf.On his way,he meets with an accident and brought to yusuf's hospital.Dr.Yusuf,true to his orofessional ethics does an intricate operation and saves Mukarram.
Peace is established in both families and they realise that one must accept the fate....etc etc.
