Gulloo(I.S.johar) is a simpletion, loved only by his faithfull dog, "Charlie", and by his doting mother. Gulloo has a passion for everything British, so he goes about sporting a checked suit and bow-tie, and speaking his own native tongue, Hindi with the chipped British accent, play on the frayed nerves of his irrated father. Unemployed Gulloo lives in his own mental paradise, until one day his dog "Charlie" meets a charming velvet haired beauty of an English lady-dog, "Jackie", and from then on, things take a dramatic turn in the simple life of Gulloo. "Jackie" is life of a wealthey Rai Bahadur's daughter called Bambie(Geeta Bali). "Jackie" wants "Charlie" for company. Bambie is aghast when she learns this fact, for she has seen both "Charlie" and his master, Gulloo, and not only detests the sight of both, but refuses to allow her "aristocratic Jackie" to go anywhere near a street dog like "Charlie". "Jacke" continues to brood and look sad and finally has her own way. "Charlie" is sent for and taken from the humble abode of his master to the posh princely mansion of the Rai Bahadur. but "Charlie" cant do without his masters company. So at las Gulloo is sent for much against Bambies wishes and brought to her house after much prodding by his stern father. "Charlle" is over-joyed to see his master and soon all is well in the grand household of the Rai Bahadur. As a natural sequence, Bambie and Gulloo fall in love. But now entered Jung Bahadur who is wanted in every leading Indian state of acts of murders and dacoit; and he bears a close resemblence to Gulloo.
