Fame
Started as a child artist in late 60s and went on to do a number of movies, sometimes pairing with actor Sachin. Never got big as a leading actress and retired from movies after marrying Kamal Haasan and worked on costume design. After marriage fell thru, returned to the movies after a gap of 15 yrs and has been doing character roles.
Trivia
Was involved with Deepak Parashar between two marriages. Supposed to be not on speaking terms with her daughter Shurti, because of Shruti's bonding with actress Gautami, Kamal Haasan's girlfriend.
