Became famous with Rajnigandha (1974) and Chhoti Si Baat (1975). Went on to do a number of movies with her favorite actor Sanjeev Kumar, but never became big. Works in TV and does occasional movies.

Declined Satyam Shivam Sundram (1978). Met her second husband, a doctor based in Australia on internet, and later filed a complaint accusing him of torture.
