Elder son of musician Roshan, Rakesh came to Bollywood in early 70s. Couldnt really make it big as an actor, but had a fairly decent career. Turned to direction in mid 80s and is ranked as one of the top directors, with his brother Rajesh Roshan providing the music, and since 2000, superstar Hrithink Roshan playing the lead. Nickname is Guddu.
