Sarita(Rekha), a young middle-class girl, on marrying Sagar(Vinod Khanna) and consequently realising that he had left all his riches for her sake, wants to give him back the same. In her senseless pursuit to make quick money she lands from one trouble to another before being balied out in the final showdown with the smugglers by her brave husband. The shares she had pursued her husband to purchase, turn into a jackpot for them.
