Meri Biwi Ki Shaadi

Bhagwant Kumar Bartendu (Amol Palekar) lives a comfortable lifestyle in Poona, India, with his wife, Priya (Ranjeeta), and works as a Professor in a local college. He is prone to a variety of illnesses, and when he finds out that he has Angina Pectoris, is not expected to live very long, decides to arrange Priya's marriage with a wealthy man, without letting Priya know about his on-coming demise. The first groom he selects is wealthy Fernandes (Nilu Phule), but soon changes his mind when he finds out that he has had two heart attacks; the next man literally walks into his house in the shape and form of Priya's college friend, Achint Sharma, who is very wealthy. Bhagwant decides to throw them together as much as possible, thus making it easy for him and them. Things comically backfire against poor Bhagwant when Priya starts to question why he is avoiding her company and wants to spend time alone, as she suspects that he is having an affair with another woman. Watch what happens when Bhagwant is instructed by his Advocate friend, Venkat Vyas (Ashok Saraf), who has accepted full responsibility to organize Bhagwant's funeral, to confess to having an affair with another woman.
